The Village USA™ works in partnership with communities, foster care agencies and local governments to positively and permanently influence the lives and character of foster children.
We do this through transformational experiences and sustained supporting relationships designed to heal the body, mind and soul. The Village USA fosters supportive communities where hearts are mended and spirits soar!
We strive to create a sense of belonging and hope in the lives of children. This is achieved through developing a continuum of care that is lacking with many foster children. We embrace every child that enters The Village. Providing them with moments and experiences which they can cherish.
We help foster children 7 to 12 years of age. Boys and girls, most likely minority and in DFCS custody and in first/entry level of care. We also connect with the foster children’s extended family and siblings offering them exposure to powerful positive role models - our volunteers.
The Village USA is the “caulk” for foster children most vulnerable to “falling through the cracks”. The ministry serves as a “catalyst” and “orchestrator” of transformational experiences, child development opportunities and a sustained, metropolitan-wide presence specifically supporting these “serial” foster children.
